2 state troopers fired in connection with kidnapping and assault case

WETHERSFIELD — Two Connecticut State Troopers  who were charged with kidnapping and assault with a firearm  earlier this year, have been fired. Rupert Laird, 30, of Manchester,  and Xavier Cruz, 30, of Wethersfield, were fired according to State Police spokesperson Tpr. Kelly Grant.
