Zea Bowling returns to ComFest, talks about 2015 showdown with protester
It's been two years. People at ComFest might not remember.
But, she does.
"It was very emotional for quite a few people," Zea Bowling said.
Bowling is now 9. She was 7 when it happened; when she stood tall against a man preaching what some might call bigotry at ComFest in 2015.
She never said a word.
She stood, silent, while holding a rainbow flag.
Bowling's father says the man was trying to encourage the crowd to turn to Jesus Christ and away from the "wickedness" of homosexuality.
