Woman killed in Knox County duplex fire

Investigators from the State Fire Marshall’s Office and Knox County are working to determine what started an early morning fire that killed a Mt. Vernon woman and injured her adult daughter.Firefighters were called early Monday morning to a duplex on North Harrison Street in Mt. Vernon after a fire was reported.A woman was found dead in the upstairs unit.
