Woman dies after car crashes into a tree in Licking County

LICKING COUNTY - One woman is dead after her car struck a tree early Wednesday morning.Officials say the crash occurred at around 12:43 A.M. Wednesday morning.According to The Ohio State Highway Patrol, 21-year-old Kendra Shields was driving her car northbound on Smoke Road in Etna Township, west of Kirkersville when she drove off of the road and struck a tree.Shields was transported to Grant Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.Trooper says she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time
