Wendy’s third-quarter results top expectations

Wendy’s walloped expectations for its third-quarter earnings. The Dublin-based burger giant today reported same-store sales up 3.1 percent, almost an entire percentage point ahead of analyst predictions. Wendy’s also reported revenue of $464 million, again topping expectations.
