Weather Geek: Winter Weather Update
NOAA forecasters confirm a weak La Nina has developed with colder than average temperatures across the Pacific Ocean. What does this mean for us in Ohio and could it be a sign of real winter weather ahead?
Climate officials declared La Nina conditions this week after finding sea surface temperatures around .7 degrees Celsius below average. This is opposite of the weather pattern last winter when those sea surface temperatures were warmer than average in what forecasters call El Nino.
