Weapons stolen from undercover officer's car

An undercover Columbus police officer just wanted to grab a bite to eat before finishing his shift, but his dinner plans quickly went awry. While he was inside York Steak House Wednesday night on West Broad Street around 9 p.m., two men broke into the officer's unmarked police car and stole several weapons and body armor, according to the Franklin County sheriff's office, which is investigating the theft. The suspects are two men who drove a gold Chevrolet S10 pickup, the sheriff's office said.
