Walnut Township schools headed back to ballot

LANCASTER, Ohio — The Walnut Township school district was preparing to file a tax-renewal issue with the Fairfield County Board of Elections for the Aug. 2 special election, Superintendent Randy Cotner said. Voters rejected the 1.7-mill levy in March. It would generate about $250,000 annually and would cost homeowners about $52 per $100,000 in property valuation.
