Violent crime in Columbus continues to go down

The city of Columbus released statistics today that show violent crime within the city continues to drop. Mayor Michael B. Coleman and Columbus Police Chief Kim Jacobs credited programs such as the Community Safety Initiative, the APPS Program that emphasizes youth-violence prevention and intervention, and the various neighborhood-based volunteer safety groups.
