Using old rule, department pushes ahead with charter sponsor evaluations

Charter schools successfully pushed last week to get a roadblock thrown in front of new sponsor evaluations, but it looks like the state is going off-roading to keep them on track. After watching its legal counsel get clubbed by a legislative rule-review committee last week, the Ohio Department of Education now thinks it has a way to avoid the fight over a new rule needed to implement a portion of new charter sponsor evaluations.
