Urban Meyer releases statement on Ohio State investigation, his suspension

Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer released a statement Friday morning he says is to address several media reports about the university's investigation and his suspension.Meyer was suspended for the first three games of the 2018 season as a result of the investigation into his knowledge and handling of abuse allegations against former assistant coach Zach Smith.In the statement, Meyer says he was not suspended because of what he knew about or condoned Smith's alleged domestic abuse.
