Unitarians picket Wendy’s over tomato suppliers

A little more than 50 people marched on a Wendy’s store near Ohio State’s campus Wednesday, the latest protest in a years-long effort by the Coalition of Immolakee Workers. The coalition, which represents workers in Florida’s vast tomato industry, wants Wendy’s to sign on to its Fair Food Program, an agreement to push tomato suppliers to pay one penny more per pound to ensure things like higher wages, better healthcare and better working conditions.
