Two men admit to 2015 fatal shooting

Two men will spend at least six years in prison for their roles in a 2015 shooting death on the East Side. Paris Rai'Shannon Royal, 20, and Tykeim Mayes, 19, each pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of manslaughter. They also admitted that a gun was used in the fatal shooting of John Pope II, 19, inside East Side apartment. Royal was charged with murder. Mayes was charged with complicity to commit murder. Each faces as many as 14 years in prison. Pope was found dead just after 3 a.m. on July 11,
