Threatening note temporarily closes Franklin County courthouse

The Franklin County Common Pleas Courthouse was locked down for more than an hour on Friday afternoon after the clerk of court’s office received a package containing a threatening note. The building reopened after tests by the Columbus Fire Division’s hazardous materials unit determined that the package did not contain anthrax or other harmful substances, said Battalion Chief Tracy Smith.
