Threat that closed Athens County schools originated in Europe

The anonymous threat that caused Athens area schools to close Friday was made by someone in Europe and wasn't specific to Athens County. That's what Athens police said late Friday afternoon after working much of the day investigating a social media post that noted American students would die.
