Thousands of AEP customers without power across central Ohio

COLUMBUS - The American Electrical Power Company is reporting that scattered power outages across central Ohio are affecting thousands of customers Thursday morning.Nearly 7,000 customers are without power in Franklin County and 1,300 in Licking County.AEP says crews are working to repair the outages but did not provide an estimated time for restoration.AEP Outage Map: Click here to see the latest outages Earlier this morning, a power line fell across Interstate 70, causing local power outages.
