Thousands lose power in Franklin County; Several schools closed

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio -- More than 5600 AEP customers were without power Friday morning.AEP says 5,682 customers were without electricity in north Columbus near Clintonville.Several schools are closed because of the power outages. They include: Whetstone High School, Colerain Elementary, Indianola K-8, Indian Springs Elementary.According to AEP's website, power has now been restored in the area.Latest closings, delays in central Ohio >>Latest outage AEP map >>
