Theodore Decker commentary: Ohio State encourages diverse debate, to a point

Students arriving for fall semester at Ohio State University last week were greeted with an upbeat letter from President Dr. Michael V. Drake saying “the potential that lives within our students, faculty and staff is endless.” The letter contained two exclamation points and a postscript invitation to follow Drake on Twitter, but what it really required was an asterisk after the fifth paragraph.
