Ted Strickland's faltering U.S. Senate campaign slashes TV ad spending
COLUMBUS, Ohio-Democrat Ted Strickland's U.S. Senate campaign is cutting spending on TV ads, going off the air completely in most of the state through mid-October, a campaign spokesman acknowledged Friday. The former governor's campaign has canceled roughly $1 million worth of ads in Cincinnati, Dayton, Toledo, and Youngstown, according to Strickland spokesman David Bergstein.
