Taylor Ave. school site sold to aid Near East Side redevelopment

The Columbus Board of Education sold one of its vacant Near East Side elementary schools on Tuesday to a community group trying to rejuvenate the Taylor Avenue corridor. The former Pilgrim Elementary School, 440 Taylor Ave., just north of Ohio State University Hospital East, is now owned by Partners Achieving Community Transformation Inc. PACT is a nonprofit partnership made up of Ohio State University, the city of Columbus and the Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority.
