Summer road-trip blues: Gasoline prices moving higher

The average price of gallon of gasoline nationally is expected to be $2.74 this summer, a 14 percent increase from 2017, according to an Energy Information Administration forecast. In Ohio, where gasoline prices can be volatile, look for periodic spikes that could push prices above $3 a gallon this summer for the first time since 2014, Ohio AAA says.
