Study: Polar Vortex may have killed 95 percent of stink bugs

Researchers say January’s Polar Vortex may have killed off 95 percent of the stink bugs that hadn’t found hadn’t found shelter to stay warm this winter.A release by the National Pest Management Association cited a study by Virginia Tech University.The study says other invasive insect species like the Emerald ash borer and southern pine beetles likely didn't survive.Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean insects like cockroaches and bed bugs were affected.
