Students make 1000 origami cranes for world peace

Three Columbus fifth-graders just wrapped up three months of making 1,000 origami cranes in a wish for world peace. Along the way, the Clinton Elementary students picked up some very grown-up lessons from the meditative practice of folding cranes and the novel that inspired it, folding in history, science, leadership and the idea that an ending can be simultaneously happy and sad.
