Students complain Ohio may gut gifted-education standards
A group of 25 students stopped into the State Board of Education meeting on Monday afternoon to advocate for an issue that’s near and dear to them: Ohio’s gifted-education standards. A proposed revision to the statewide standards, which dictate how Ohio’s gifted students are identified by their school districts and what services they can receive and from whom, has stirred controversy since it was introduced in September.
