State prisons director wins national innovation award

Ohio prisons Director Gary Mohr has received the first national Tom Clements Innovation Award, named for the Colorado prisons administrator gunned down by a former inmate in 2013. The Association of State Correctional Administrators announced that the award goes to someone who “exemplifies Tom Clements’ virtues of vision and innovation in the corrections profession...Tom pursued a progressive vision of a corrections professional that supports the redemption of offenders.”
