State audit cites $1 million 'ripoff' by closed Columbus charter school
A closed Columbus charter school was cited by state Auditor Dave Yost today for more than $1 million in overpayments and questionable expenditures. The ScholArts Preparatory and Career Center for Children, located at 907 E. Lexington Ave. in the Milo-Grogan neighborhood, closed on Feb. 28, 2013, but school officials did not follow the required school-closing protocol stipulated in state law, Yost's office said.
