State again makes record purchases from minority firms

The state of Ohio again has routed a record amount of government purchases to minority-owned businesses. State agencies spent $297 million in the fiscal year that ended June 30 with companies owned by African Americans, Latinos, Asian Americans and American Indians, officials announced Tuesday.
