Special prosecutors appointed in possible Fairfield County embezzlement case

LANCASTER, Ohio — A Fairfield County judge has appointed special prosecutors to investigate what county Prosecutor Gregg Marx described as a potential case of embezzlement and other possible crimes. Common Pleas Judge Richard E. Berens filed an entry today appointing as special prosecutors Robert F. Smith, deputy legal counsel in Ohio Auditor Dave Yost’s office, and Hocking County assistant Prosecutor William L. Archer Jr.
