Special-needs charter school sues Ohio over its planned closing

A Columbus charter school specializing in serving special-needs students has filed two lawsuits in Franklin County trying to stop the state from shuttering it at the end of this school year. The state informed Brookwood Academy, located on Livingston Avenue just south of Bexley, in January that its sponsorship agreement with the Ohio Department of Education was being terminated for low student performance and financial mismanagement.
