South Side gets two new crime patrols

The Community Crime Patrol is expanding into a neighborhood that is slowly reviving near Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and adding a patrol farther south. The Columbus City Council approved a one-year, $25,000 contract with the nonprofit organization this week, part of a total of $72,500 during the next year to expand the patrol’s coverage near the hospital.
