Somerset Police chief resigns

PERRY COUNTY, Ohio -- Police chief Jeremy VanDermark resigned Monday after 10 Investigates began asking questions to city leaders about allegations the chief used the city credit card for personal purposes.
The former police chief of the Perry County village reimbursed the city $546 for tires he purchased on the village credit card, according to Somerset Mayor Tom Johnson.
“It’s a terrible event. Chief VanDermark served our community for 10 years,” said Mayor Johnson.
