Some Franklin County officials face possible primary challengers

The Franklin County commissioner’s race is getting crowded. State Rep. Kevin L. Boyce, a Democrat, has pulled petitions to run in the March primary election against Commissioner Paula L. Brooks for her seat on the board. A third Democrat, former Columbus City Council President Michael C. Mentel, took out petitions for the race last month.
