Some AEP Ohio customers to receive refunds after settlement

AEP Ohio has announced that $84 million will be refunded to customers through a credit on their June 2017 bill as a part of a settlement.A one-time credit will be given to customers who purchased their generation service from AEP Ohio through its Standard Service Offer between August 2012 and May 2015.The refund was agreed to as part of a settlement that AEP Ohio, the Consumers’ Counsel and other parties negotiated in December 2016.
