Snow expected to taper off as bitter cold moves in until the weekend

A steady snowfall during the afternoon and into the night was making travel treacherous Monday throughout Columbus and Central Ohio. As of 7 p.m., 2.8 inches of snow had been measured at the John Glenn Columbus International Airport.
