Ski resorts waiting for cold weather

While unseasonably warm temperatures have allowed for patio-sitting, grilling out and other activities often foreign to December, area ski and tubing resorts are patiently waiting for the mercury to drop and the snow to finally fall. Columbus has yet to welcome its first official snow; only trace amounts have been recorded in the area, said Kristen Cassady, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
