Sheriff’s office will pitch taking over Franklin Township patrols

For at least two years, the Franklin County sheriff’s office has suggested to Franklin Township that it needs to contract with the sheriff’s office for police protection. The sheriff’s office will try again tonight, after a “fact finding” visit to a meeting of the township’s board of trustees.
