Sheriff Zach Scott explains growing budget

Franklin County Sheriff Zach Scott is asking county commissioners for more deputies to guard the county jails, patrol townships and investigate heroin overdoses. Commissioners will decide in the coming weeks whether to add them to his budget. At the same time, Scott is fending off attacks about his management of the county jail and his budget from Columbus City Council President Andrew J. Ginther, his opponent in the November mayoral election.
