Sheriff: both inmates captured after escaping custody in Athens County

ATHENS -- The Athens County Sheriff's Office said two inmates escaped from the courthouse Monday.Brian Chaney, 31, and Tyler Howard, 31, were in custody at the courthouse, located at 13 West Washington Street, just before 3 p.m.Chaney was wearing an orange shirt and pants and Howard was wearing a green shirt and pants. Both men were barefoot and have several tattoos.At 5:20 p.m., the sheriff's office said Howard was apprehended. At 6:40 p.m. Chaney had been caught.
