Sharp increase in fentanyl related deaths in Franklin County

The Franklin County Coroner's office is seeing a spike in fentanyl related deaths.The coroner's toxicology department is investigating 43 suspected fentanyl related deaths within the last month.30 of those deaths happened in Franklin County.Dr. Anahi Ortiz said the numbers are alarmingly high and unprecented. Ortiz said the preliminary numbers of fentanyl related overdose deaths during January and February were 55. That accounts for nearly half of all fentanyl related overdose deaths in 2016.The
