Senate moves bill protecting those who save kids, pets from vehicles

When a child is locked in a hot car, experts say quick action can save a life. With that in mind, a bill providing civil immunity to someone who breaks into a vehicle to rescue a child or pet locked inside passed the Senate unanimously this week. Senate Bill 215 saw plenty of support, including from Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Humane Society of the United States.
