UNION COUNTY – A semi-truck involved in a crash on U.S. 42 Wednesday morning landed in a retention pond and spilled fuel, prompting a road closure.The Union County sheriff said the crash occurred at 6 a.m. when a 2013 Ford F-150 was struck by a semi. Preliminary investigation revealed the F-150 was westbound on Jerome Road and did not yield to a stop sign.After the initial impact, the semi traveled off the road and into a retention pond.
