Security detail protecting Kasich earning thousands in overtime pay

His long-shot chances aside, Ohio Gov. John Kasich is working the presidential campaign trail hard — very hard. So are the State Highway Patrol troopers legally required to protect the Republican wherever he is, whatever he's doing.
