Scoring error, not gender issue, blamed in masonry contest controversy

SkillsUSA, a partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives, said the decision not to allow Shania Clifford to compete at the 2016 National Skills and Leadership Conference was never a gender issue, but a miscalculation of the contestants' final scores.
