Sabbath celebration to unite Jews in worship

When Jerry Sigal was asked to explain what the Sabbath means to him, he turned to the Torah story of Moses and the Ten Commandments.  When the Commandments were handed down, he said, it represented a marriage between the Israeli nation and God. As a wedding gift, God gave his people the Sabbath, when Jews are asked to take a break from everyday life and focus on worship.
