ROTC is cool at Newark High School

NEWARK, Ohio — Those involved in Newark High School’s Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps seem to settle on the same word to best describe it: family. And these days, it is one big, big family. When the high school started the program in 2009, it had just more than 50 participants. Now, there are more than 240 students and three instructors, two of whom have military backgrounds.
