Robert E. Lee plaque removed in southwest Ohio
City officials in Franklin, which is just south of Dayton, removed a plaque depicting Confederate General Robert E. Lee in the middle of the night.It happened between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.Franklin officials said the removal was not due to the violence last weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia.Instead, city leaders said they did not know about the monument until a news report brought it to their attention this week.They said the monument was removed because it was in a public ease
