Rob Portman keeps a big lead in latest Ohio Senate poll

COLUMBUS, Ohio-U.S. Sen. Rob Portman continues to pull away from Democratic rival Ted Strickland, opening up a 17-point lead in the latest Quinnipiac University poll. The survey, released Wednesday , shows Portman, a Cincinnati-area Republican, with 55 percent support from likely voters, compared to just 38 percent for Strickland, a former governor from Columbus.
