Road reopened after construction crews hit gas line in Whitehall

WHITEHALL - Construction crews caused a gas leak after striking a gas line in Whitehall, according to The Metropolitan Emergency Consortium Communications Center (MECC).It happened around 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the 4900 block of Poth Road after crews struck a 4-inch gas line.Officials said they are evacuating nearby buildings and Poth Road was closed and has since reopened between North Hamilton Road and Schofield Drive.
