Richland County 10-year-old found in pond after drowning

The Richland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a 10-year-old girl died after being found in a pond Monday evening.According to investigators, a worker found Kassidy Crandall floating in a small pond at a nursery on Gatton Rocks Road in Bellville around 6 p.m. She was transported to Mansfield Ohio Health where she was pronounced dead.Deputies contacted Kassidy’s mother, who told them she and her brother had been out playing with neighborhood kids all day.
