Rich, outside groups will swamp Portman vs. Strickland

Rounding page 80 in “Dark Money” — investigative journalist Jane Mayer’s expose on how billionaires influence American politics — Ted Strickland became justifiably concerned. He should know. He's running against Republican Sen. Rob Portman, whose campaign coffer makes Strickland's look empty. But both men's war chests are dwarfed by those of outside groups planning to wage war on behalf of one candidate or the other.
